About the CBCT Scan
You might be familiar with the CT scan, which has long been used in the medical field to evaluate tissues that a typical x-ray will not capture. However, a standard CT machine emits a fan-shaped x-ray beam and requires the patient to move through the machine, which is certainly not comfortable or convenient. The CBCT features a cone-shaped beam that can scan the target area while the patient remains comfortably seated. Furthermore, a CBCT x-ray results in significantly less radiation exposure than standard CT scanning.
The CBCT scan procedure is fast, efficient, and noninvasive. You simply need to sit still for a few moments while the machine’s computerized arm smoothly circles around your head. It will capture a comprehensive, 3D image that can then be enlarged and digitally enhanced.

I came with a missing front tooth that couldn’t be repaired with placing a new crown. I had a really negative experience with another area dental office and subsequently went without a front tooth for nearly 6 months. Dr Jordan, after listening to my whole sad story, assured me that he could do the extraction of the remaining broken root and do an implant! He felt so bad that I had been without a remedy for so long, he offered to fit me into his schedule and do the procedure immediately! He also modified a retainer I had fashioned with a fake tooth so that it looked more natural and fit better. It looks great while I wait for the bone graft to heal and I will have a new crown placed! The staff is amazing. He has a great team that works together! They made my experience one the best I’ve ever had in a dental office! I highly recommend Dr Tucker and his entire staff from Lisa at the reception desk to Dawn an incredibly kind and highly capable dental assistant!
If anyone wants a great Dentist in Pflugerville I recommend Dr. Jordan Tucker. He is really nice and his dental hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth. She was very thorough and explained everything. A lot of cleaning and barriers are in place if worried about Covid-19. Im immunosuppressed and was very happy at the quality and the amount preventive measures they had in place.
